Two years in the making, this custom home in Leaside stands as a testament to what’s possible when design, complexity, and values align.

Shelly and Robert came to us with a clear idea of how they wanted their forever home to feel and function. They didn’t want a standard build. They wanted something personal, layered, and full of intention.

The property presented typical Leaside constraints: narrow city lots and limited access. But that didn’t stop the ambition. The couple wanted a pool, a cabana, and full landscaping completed upfront. Coordinating all three together added complexity to the build, but it also allowed us to plan every detail as a cohesive whole, from grading to final finishes.

Inside, the home was designed to accommodate a full and active lifestyle. The main floor is clean and open, with high ceilings and no bulkheads—something we achieved by managing mechanical runs through attic space and perimeter routes in the basement.

Materiality played a huge role in the project. No two rooms feel the same—each features its own cabinetry styles, finishes, and details. Bathrooms, bedrooms, powder rooms, and even the kid’s spaces were given their own unique identity. What ties it all together is a shared design language rooted in clean lines, warm textures, and deliberate contrasts.

Now complete, the house offers both quiet retreat and energetic spaces to host and gather. It’s a place for their kids to grow, for parents to visit, for friends to drop in and stay a while. And most importantly, it’s a house they wouldn’t change a thing about. That’s the outcome we work toward every time—and it’s what makes this project a standout for us.
